New Metropolitan Builders Association president aims to set a more impactful strategy
Milwaukee, WI – January 2022 Just before the end of 2021, Mike Bauman of Joseph Douglas Homes became the new president of the Metropolitan Builders Association (MBA). Bauman takes over the position from Bill Zach of the Zach Building Company.
“I’m very excited about this opportunity,” stated Mike. “As president, I want to create a strategy for the organization that will have more impact on both the membership and the greater Milwaukee community.”
The current board will serve now through November of 2022.
Bauman is the sales manager at the Menomonee Falls-based home building and remodeling company Joseph Douglas Homes. He’s been in the building and real estate industry since the 1990s. For more than 24 years, he has also been an MBA member.

The MBA is a nonprofit organization representing nearly 1,000 residential and light commercial construction companies in the greater Milwaukee area. Members benefit from attending seminars providing the latest trends and practices, continuing education, and regular updates on building regulations, codes, and standards.
Residential building, remodeling, and construction companies and individuals must meet strict requirements set by the MBA before being accepted as a member. Requirements include a thorough financial history, passing background checks, and holding interviews.
